Japan Women vs Sweden Women

Japan is the home team and of course they would love to win this tournament and the Gold Medal for their Nation but overall I never taught that this team would be favourites to win any medal, I see too many issues on this team to be competitive against the elite teams but they where in a good group where they could advance to the next round and they did that. They started the tournament against Canada who ended in a 1:1 draw, a game they could have won but the draw was kinda the deserving result for both teams in the end, than they lost to Great Britain by 0:1 and beat a weak Chile team in their last game by 1:0 who gave them the access to the elimination rounds. Overall they got points in the games that was expected but they haven't face any elite team, against Great Britain who in my opinion is a good team they looked kinda lost and if they had problems against Great Britain I see them having many issues against Sweden here.

Sweden is probable playing the best football in this tournament so far, they started with an impressive 3:0 win over the great USA team, than they beat Australia by 4:2 and against New Zealand they rotated pratically the whole squad and even so they had no problems to win that game by 2:0. Sweden is a complete team, rock solid on defense and a great midfield and attack, the reason why they suffered 2 goals against Australia was because they were facing Samantha Kerr who is one of the best female football players in the world and she gave them problems, but Japan don't have a Samantha Kerr so I expect Sweden to be really solid on defense in this game and in the attack they have enough firepower to really hurt this Japan team.

I see Sweden has the clear favourite here, Japan are playing at home but without fans there is really no advantage in that and overall Sweden is the much better team in each sector, even Japan has only suffered 2 goals in 3 games we saw their defensive line struggling and today they will face one of the best attacking teams who has great combinations in their attack but has also the long range shot what is Women football is a big weapon, overall I see Sweden beating Japan here and advance to the next round, this Japan team hasn't the same quality's from that epic team a couple years ago and Sweden is looking for the Gold Medal in this tournament.
