Australia won against Argentina but made a really poor performance against Spain, where they just defended and were totally outplayed. Against Argentina they were pretty lucky also because their rivals received a red card at 45’.

Comparing the matches against Spain (strongest rival in the group), Egypt played much better and was the best team. They achieved a point, but also did not allow Spain to create danger, while Australia conceded many chances and were lucky to receive just one goal.

For this match, Australia will miss Duke, Atkinson and McGree, all suspended and key players.

On the other hand, Egypt played well against Spain as said, while against Argentina (lost 0-1) created several chances but weren’t able to convert them. They need a victory to qualify, the only way to not qualify winning this match is if Argentina beats Spain by exactly 1 goal.

Both teams are at a similar level, but I think that Egypt made better performances in spite of the results. For Australia, a draw would be enough to qualify. Even a defeat if Spain wins Argentina. That’s why they will use the same plan as always: defend and let the time run. Egypt will dominate the match, which is the first step to win it.

In my opinion Egypt should be even slightly favorite, so happy to take the double chance for them.
