If Canada lose against Great Britain then they have chances to qualify as 2nd team, however with 4 points they are sure to qualify as best 3rd teams ranked so this is a must win game for Japan.

Against Great Britain it was a very poor game for Japan despite losing only 0-1. No shots on target as they were very defensive, maybe the goal was to get at least a draw.

Coach Takakura have some players back in this game but also can make some rotation. He said in press conference that is not happy about some players in the way they play.

Chile in other hand lost both games against Canada 1-2 and Great Britain 2-0.

They are the one of the worst teams in Olympics, mostly lacking experience and quality as the professional league of womens started only this year in Chile.
