Switzerland defeated reigning World Champions France after a penalty shootout. This was maybe their "biggest" win in the history of Swiss football. It was a very interesting game, Swiss took a lead after Seferovic header in the early minutes of the first half despite France's dominance at the beginning of the game. Benzema then scored 2 goals in 2 minutes and after Pogba's fantastic screamer from outside of the box everything seemed over for Switzerland. Swiss players then performed a miracle, first Seferovic scored and then substitute Gavranovic scored in the 90th minute and it was level again. Coman had an opportunity in the 93rd minute but he hit the woodwork and the game finished 3-3 in regular time. Spain and Croatia played exactly the same game, Croatia took a lead after a funny own goal from Unai Simon, Spain then scored 3 goals everything looked over but then Croatia scored 2 goals and the game went to extra time. Spaniards were better in the extra time and the game finished 5-3 for Spain. Probably everyone expected a duel between Spain and France, but the Swiss showed that they are a great team and deservedly qualified for the quarterfinals. The Swiss will play without captain Xhaka, who was suspended due to yellow cards, while the Spaniards will not play Jose Gay, but he will be replaced by Jordi Alba, so nothing will change in the game of Spain. In my opinion, Spain is the favourite in this match and perhaps the first favourite to win this championship. The Swiss-made a big surprise by eliminating the French but I think it’s hard to make two surprises at such a tough Euro. The odds are very good on Spain and I think it is a very good bet to play on them. Spain has a very young squad with some veterans like Busquets and Alba and this makes perfect balance in the squad. I expect them to go and beat Switzerland and advance to the semi-finals.
