Time has been short for Bahia in the Brazilian Championship. After falling against Palmeiras 3x2, at Allianz Parque, the tricolor had to be quick to assimilate the defeat and focus on the next opponent.

In 24 games against Coelho, Bahia won 12, drew nine and lost only three.

To beat Coelho again, Bahia need to be more decisive. Against Palmeiras, the tricolor abused the chances and ended up punished with a goal at the end.

The biggest concern is the defense. Still recovering from a thigh strain, defender Germán Conti remains out of the team. Luiz Otávio continues as a starter alongside Juninho. The last hired by the tricolor, defender Ligger, who was a substitute against Palmeiras, also appears as an option if the coach decides to change the team.

América-MG will for sure stay back and try to counterattack. Under the command of new head coach Vagner Mancini, América-MG drew with Juventude and Internacional. I think it won’t be easy for Bahia to come back to winning track because they don’t have enough time for training. Travelling has consumed the players a lot.
