In the previous round, Arsenal lost to Bournemouth 0-2 as a guest, but that defeat was due to William Saliba's red card. Arsenal had to play one hour with 10 v 11 players. . The Bournemouth defeat is Arsenal's only defeat of the season. Overall, Arsenal have been a good away team. It played 2-2 away with Manchester City, and in that match, the victory would have been within reach. City's Stones equalized only in the 98th minute. Although City was better in xG calculations 2.78 – 1.26.

Arsenal won Tottenham away 1-0 and Aston Villa 2-0. In both, it was a little better on the xG side as well.

Newcastle is only in 12th place in the league table, and the balance is 3-3-3. It has not risen to the level that was expected when the team was bought with Saudi money. Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes may not be fit to play. Odegaard, Calafiori, Tierney and Tomiyasu are definitely on the sidelines. Odegaard is good, but they managed well without him also last time.
