Djurgarden made for a really nice start to the season. At the beginning of the Allsvenskan, in our opinion, they got a little more points than they deserved, but with time the game settled down and the results came. During the spring, they were the only team that even came close to being able to challenge Malmo for the title, even though it was probably all the time quite far-fetched that it could happen. And during the autumn, they have really lost performance as well as results. Djurgarden's worst match this year was the first one against AIK. As so many times before in the last decade - and further back than that - Djurgarden went down when it came to the derby. You came out on the pitch looking like you had seen a ghost - the derby ghost - and performed accordingly. And then they played two more derbies and lost both. Against Hammarby, Djurgarden has at least performed somewhat better against them in recent years. But even against the green and whites, Djurgarden's derby results are bleak, and we can guess how this will end. Hammarby started the season very weakly and it looked really bad at times. But during the autumn, they have been one of the very best teams in the Allsvenskan and also got their defence in total order. I think Djurgarden will not win another derby here. The team has shown many times that they do not have what it takes mentally to succeed in derby matches, and in addition, Hammarby has started to look better and better lately.
