FC Porto vs Sporting Braga

With all the problems around Porto before the season start they still managed to have a solid squad and under the new President and Coach they got also way more motivated and the results have been solid, especially in the league where they are in 2nd place with 6 wins in 7 games. The only loss came against the leader Sporting who is just on another level right now but in compare to the last season Porto is playing much better football, their attack is producing way more and at home they have been rock solid too with 4 wins in 4 games and 11:1 in goals. The big difference for Porto this season is that you see a team who is hungry and wants to show up and they give it all in every single game, last couple of seasons they struggled against the lower team to perform and were only performing well against the big teams but this season we see Porto dominate against weaker teams and even in the Europa League game at home a couple days ago they had a 3:3 draw against Manchester United is a game they should have won and where they showed big heart because they were down by 0:2 after two really bad goals conceded by their goalkeeper but the team bounce back and where up 3:2 before a very late goal after a corner kick and they had chances to score the 4:2 before that, overall a very unlucky result because performance wise they dominated Manchester United.

For this game Porto is likely to be without Marcano, Navarro and Zaidu.

In my opinion Braga lost some key players from last season but I still think they have a good team but they just aren't clicking has a team yet because performance wise they have been poor for their standards and even in the games they won they rarely have dominated the game and that includes games against weak teams and right now they are only in 5th place. The coaching change early in the season hasn't done any good too in my opinion because performances haven't gotten better and their wins just came because they had a much better squad than their opponents but today they will face a stronger team than them so I expect them to have a ton of problems in this game and like they have all the time against Porto on the road where they lost 4 times in a row in the league games and usually get dominated by them and I think we will see it again here. Also, another issue for Braga is that they also played for the Europa League but on the road in Greece and lost badly by 0:3 against Olympiakos and played once again a bad game.

For this game Braga is likely to be without Moutinho and Bambu.

For me Braga is not that team from last season but still is surprising to me seen them playing this badly, I was expecting a bit more from them and maybe they will get better with time but right now I just think that Braga isn't playing at a good level to compete with this Porto team who only struggled against Sporting but besides that they have been rock solid and especially at home they are dominant and like I said, Porto played an amazing game at home vs Manchester United but only got a 3:3 draw out of that game because of 2 goals that Diogo Costa should and usually saves without any problems and Braga was on the road and lost badly to a Olympiakos. So, for me Porto is the clear favourite here to win this game, historically they dominate Braga at home most of the time and also right now Porto played at home and Braga was on the road, so Porto had more time to prepare for this game and also should be more fresher than Braga and that combined with how poorly Braga has been playing I expect Porto to win this game and beat Braga by 2:0 or 2:1.
