Benfica vs Gil Vicente

Benfica just proved that they should have sacked Roger Schmidt since last season but they didn't want to pay the release clause and that costed them the beginning of the season with poor results and performances but since they sacked their Coach and a familiar Coach of the house came in Bruno Lage we are seen a Benfica team at a complete different level and also their results have matched their performances. Under Coach Bruno Lage they started with a good 4:1 home win over Santa Clara, than in the Champions League they won 2:1 on the road against Crvena Zvezda and the next game they beat Boavista on the road by 3:0 and playing well most of the time, like we haven't seen Benfica do in the last season and beginning of the season. The reason for their success now is their Coach but also the enviroment around the club is way better but since the Coach has put the players in their rightful position Benfica has been solid a good, it's funny to see Kokcu playing in his natural position and has already make a huge difference on the pitch, something we never saw in the last season because the Coach never put him in his natural position but also overall the squad is united and dominating their opponents now and I expect the same to happen here at home against Gil Vicente.

For this game Benfica is likely to be without Gouveia. Bah and Sanches are also listed has doubtful.

Gil Vicente lost their season opener to Porto on the road by 0:3 but since then, they never lost a game against, 4 draws and 1 win. Even they haven't lost since that Porto game their performances haven't been that good in my eyes, in some of those draws they could have lost and especially their attack is having a hard time to create scoring chances and now on the road against a good team I see them struggling a lot, especially against this version of Benfica under Coach Lage. I remember that game against Porto on the road, they lost 0:3 but it could have been by more and they got dominated by a Porto team who in my opinion has a worst squad than Benfica and I believe Gil Vicente will have here a very hard time again.

For this game Gil Vicente is likely to be without Caseres and Sithole.

I would never go with Benfica here if this would have been the first game of the season under Coach Roger Schmidt and were the enviroment around the squad was just awful but now since Coach Bruno Lage got to Benfica they have been playing really well, very offensive and solid and also the team spirit is really good, you can see them smile again and looking like a real team and united team and their attack since Bruno Lage has put the players in the right spot has been creating easily scoring chances and more important they have been scoring a lot of goals too, 9 in their last 3 games and with some big misses in between, they could have scored more. For Benfica it's simple, if they wanna dream with the league title they can't afford to lose more points to Sporting and I don't believe they will here at home, I expect Benfica to dominate this Gil Vicente team and beat them by 3:0 or 3:1.
