Brentford and West Ham lock horns for this English Premier League round 6 battle at Brentford Community Stadium in London late Saturday evening Beijing time. Fullkrug is questionable at the time of posting this expert analysis. I want to highlight that  West Ham are definitely the better team in terms of pure class here. However, with the expected lineups, taking the lower-than-average home advantage into account, the hosts do deserve to be the favourites here – but only marginal! The West ham +0.5 goals handicap option is the obvious smart bet here. The odds of around 2.20 on the home win are much too low!

I want to emphasize that West Ham have had a very tough schedule so far this season.. Indeed, they have faced Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool already. No, they have not won any of their last four games but most Premier League teams would struggle against the three teams West Ham have lost to.. West Ham are currently in the 14th place with four points in their account. However, their number of expected points (xPTS) is higher.. They have netted the ball five times and have conceded nine goals. However, their number of expected goals (xG) is 7.34. Brentford have won two games and lost three times in this league this season. Their score difference is 7:9. Brentford's number of expected goals allowed (xGA) is 11.34.  In their last game West Ham lost to Liverpool 1-5 away from home. The hosts, who are a top-7 team in the world,  were priced around 1.30 to win in the 90minutes of play. They recorded 18 goal attempts – West Ham managed 11. Yes, Liverpool, the 3rd-best team in the league, of course deserved to win but the final score is misleading! It was an EFL Cup battle. Before this West Ham faced a strong team, Chelsea, at home – losing 0-3. Chelsea were very clear favourites on the betting market. Maresca's team played an extremely strong game. West Ham, on the other hand,  were far from their best and can play much better! Even so, the hosts recorded more goal attempts (15-12) and shots on goal – 7-5. Chelsea, however, generated much more in xG. In round 4 West Ham faced Fulham on the road taking a point through a 1-1 draw. I want to mention that Fulham are a strong home team and have started the season much better than expected performance-wise and were pretty clear favourites in this game according to the bookies..

Brentford have lost two of their last Premier League games. Between these two games they beat a small team from League One, 3rd tier, 3-1 at home as huge favourites on the betting market. It was an EFL Cup match. Brentford recorded 13 goal attempts, the visitors, too, had their chances recording 10 goal attempts and a quite high 107 attacks.. Brentford's performance did not really excite me as a whole.. In their last game Brentford were completely outplayed by Tottenham! 3-1 was the final score at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Three of their players are overvalued.
