Ajaccio VS Grenoble

Ajaccio and Grenoble lock horns in this French Ligue 2 round 6 battle at Michel Moretti Stadium early Wednesday morning Beijing time. Based on my strongly data-based expert analysis – with the expected lineups – Grenoble deserve to be the favourites here. The visitors +0.5 goal handicap is the smart bet here!

Let's not forget that Ajaccio have won only two of their last eight matches. They were very disappointing in their last game, despite losing only 0-1 to Caen away from home. Caen were able to do very little offensively. The hosts could easily have scored even more than two goals.. Indeed, Caen recorded a whopping 19 goal attempts. Ajaccio managed just three! Grenoble, on the other hand, have lost just one of their most recent 10 games. Moreover, they have won eight of these 10 matches and must be high in confidence. I want to emphasize that they have a good head coach and  play better than the list of players would suggest.. Grenoble  have now won two games in a row – scoring a total of seven goals in these games! In their most recent match they crushed Martigues 4-0 on the road. They were priced around 2.45 to win the game on the betting market. They had 61% ball possession and recorded many more goal attempts, shots off goal, corner kicks, attacks and dangerous attacks – 78-48. Martigues' S. Solvet was sent off in the 44th minute though but I believe Grenoble probably would have won the game even without the red card.. Before this Grenoble were – once again – undervalued by the bookies – priced around 2.80-3.10 (at the time of kickoff) to beat Caen at home. They did, however, play very well  -  taking all three points (3-1) and recorded many more goal attempts (12-6), shots off goal (5-2), corner kicks, attacks and dangerous attacks! In round 3 Grenoble were a little disappointing – no denying this.. It was a 1-1 draw at home against Pau FC after a somewhat balanced clash. However, I want to highlight that Pau played above their normal level in this match.
