Sporting CP vs FC Porto

This Sporting team is the best team in Portugal and is also the team who had a solid off-season without any issues like their rivals and also they have the best Coach in Ruben Amorim who put Sporting on the map once again and so far so good, they started the league with 3 wins in 3 games with an impressive 14 goals scored and 2 goals against. What makes this Sporting team so dangerous, well, they have one player that gives Portuguese teams nightmares in Gyokeres, he is too fast and too strong and scores goals after goals and also offers goals to his teammates but this season Trincao and Pote seems to have made another step up, they are also playing tremendous football and are very confident and that trio in the attack is a nightmare like we have been seen in the first three games in the league, 14 goals in 3 games and it could have been easily more goals.

Porto off-season was a very difficult one, first they changed their long time President Pinto da Costa who was in the club for 42 years and even he is one of the best presidents ever in all football he left the club in financial problems but somehow Porto is making a really nice job without many money to have a solid squad but in my opinion they will not be able to compete with Sporting for the league in my opinion, however, I think that Porto is hungry and against the weaker teams they will win almost every game because of it what was an issue last season getting motivated for those games and yes I know that Porto beat Sporting early in the season for the SuperCup but I think I see many difference from that game to this one but overall Porto also started their season with 3 wins and 7:0 in goals.

In the first game of the season for the Portuguese SuperCup these two teams played one crazy game, Sporting started the game smashing Porto and got an early 3:0 lead, they had even chances to score the 4:0 but Porto managed to score the 3:1 and that was the score for halftime. In the 2nd half Porto dominated, reason was kinda simple, they just looked in better shape and Sporting looked flat in the 2nd half and Porto in 2 minutes scored 2 goals and made the game 3:3 and than in extra-time Porto scored the 4:3 and won the first cup of the season, huge deal for Porto with all those issues that they are dealing. However, that's also the reason why I like Sporting here, they have that game in mind for sure and want revenge and I believe they will win this game because for this game they recovered some key players who missed that game and also their players right now are in top shape, for example Gyokeres wasn't in game shape in that game and also many others but now they are like we saw in the last two games, great pace, intensity and rock solid football and I don't see this Porto team compete on the road against this Sporting team, this is the game for Sporting to get another win and revenge that loss, for me they are the better team and at home and I would be surprise to see Porto getting something out of here, I know that Porto hasn't suffered any goal yet in the league but in that road game against Santa Clara they could have easily suffered 2 or 3 goals if Santa Clara would take care of their chances and also Sporting scored 3 goals in 26 minutes in that SuperCup game against them and now they are in much better game shape, I just see too many issues for Porto here so take Sporting to win the game here.
