On the other hand, Atalanta is a team I expect to finish in the top 6, but I don’t see them as title contenders or even as serious contenders for a Champions League spot (top 4). They started the season with a defeat away to Torino (a mid-table team) and a solid 4-0 victory over Lecce (a mid-table/relegation team).

They are struggling without their best striker and one of their key players, Scamacca, who has a knee injury. In the transfer market, they also lost key player Koopmeiners (to Juventus), but they signed striker Mateo Retegui (from Genoa), who has been one of their best players so far, with 3 goals in 2 games.

For this fixture, they will also be without another key player, defender Scalvini, as well as important midfielder Zaniolo. This means that will be without main striker, best midfielder and best defender. One absence in each zone of the lineup.
