I expect good things from Leipzig this season, they got some nice young players who can be important for them if they have a good evolution and they pratically maintained their whole squad from last season, yes, they lost Dani Olmo but he didn't play much last season either because of injuries and they still maintained Xavi Simmons what was a huge deal, so overall, Leipzig has everything in their favor to start the season strong since they know each other pretty well and they are a very solid team in each sector, strong defensive line, great mid-field with Haidara, Seiwald and Kampl and a elite attacking trio with Simmons, Openda and Sesko.

For this game Leipzig is without Schlager and Ouédraogo. Elmas, Baumgartner and Bitshiabu are doubtful.

Bochum I think will survive again in the Bundesliga but the start of the season will be hard for them, they still need some time to find their groove like we saw in the loss against Regensburg in the Cup game, even they got eliminated it's not a bad thing for them in my opinion, so they can focus on the league only but in the start of the season I think they will struggle, especially after losing their best player Stoger to Gladbach and for this game in particular they are also missing their two main centerbacks, so trouble ahead in this game in my opinion.

For this game Bochum is without Bernardo, Kwarteng, Ordets, Tolba and Riemann.

Leipzig is a bad match-up for Bochum in general but especially right now where Leipzig is hungry for a strong season and heavily motivated and Bochum is still trying to find themselves has a team and Leipzig don't have those concerns since it's pratically the same squad from last season and usually Leipzig beats Bochum in their home games easily, in the last 4 home games Leipzig won 4:0, 3:0, 4:0 and last season the game ended in a crazy 0:0 draw but let me talk about that game, Leipzig should have easily won that game by 3 or 4:0 too, but they missed so many chances and even missed two penalties kicks during the game, it was one of those games where the goalkeeper just defended everything and Leipzig couldn't find the net, those type of games happens once in a long while but today I expect more of the same, Leipzig dominating and beat Bochum easily by 2 or more goals.

TSG Hoffenheim vs Holstein Kiel

Hoffenheim started the season with almost getting surprised in the Cup game, 2:2 against Wurzburger Kicker and only beat them in penalties. Hoffenheim had a hard off-season, every center back they wanted didn't pass the medical test and that's their weakness on the team, their defensive line, they need to get some players and when they get it they will be a very decent team in my opinion. The good part is that their first game is against the worst team in the league who has a really poor attack, so even they have some concerns on defense for this game it's at least against an opponent without any firepower in the attack and Hoffenheim mid-field and attack is solid and should give Kiel a lot of problems in this game.

For this game Hoffenheim is without Bebou, Becker, Bischof, Jurasek and Kabak.

Kiel like Hoffenheim got lucky in their first game of the season, they beat a very poor Alemannia Aachen team by 3:2 with two very late goals and overall Alemannia Aachen was not inferior that Kiel in that game what is kinda scary for Kiel. For me Kiel will get relegated this season unless some crazy things happen for them and their collective somehow managed to pratice a miracle season because squad wise they don't have a competitive squad for the Bundesliga, they lost key players like Rothe and Sander and their replacements are weak so to be honest, I don't expect much from them this season unless their Coach can make a miracle with this squad and somehow they click and evolve greatly during the season, if that's not the case it would be a big surprise for me if they don't get relegated.

For this game Kiel is without Bekel and Skrzybski.

Yes, Hoffenheim has some concerns on the defensive side that they need to solve but at least in this game they should be fine against a really poor Kiel attack and on the other side Hoffenheim attack is really good and should give Kiel's defensive line big problems, if Alemannia Aachen gave them many problems we just can imagine how poorly they will be handling this Hoffenheim attack, overall, I see Hoffenheim on a different level and I expect them to start the season with a win over Kiel here, most likely by 2:1 or 3:1.
