This will be a tough battle between two good teams and probably an interesting match to watch right before perhaps the biggest soccer tournament this year, EURO2020, starts in a few days. Indeed, I expect both teams to show their offensive potential and score today. Visitors Serena showed high-quality offensive football in their most recent match versus Melipilla scoring five goals in a match that everyone expected to be pretty balanced. Of course we should not get too excited about a performance in one match but hey were pretty creative in attacking versus Cobresal despite losing 0-2. I think they would have earned a point from that match. They had ten goal attempts and ball possession was 57-43% in their favor. Overall the visitors have started the season better than some fans/betting market expected but they have not been lucky in terms of expected goals and have deserved the points they have at the moment.

Colo Colo managed to grab three points in their most recent match against Huachipato winning 2-0 but the battle was pretty balanced overall. Colo Colo is a big, traditional club in Chile and I think the betting market doesn't fully realize how far they are from their best at the moment and their odds are pretty low. The two losses before the Huachipato win were pretty disappointing - especially the 1-5 defeat to Nublense. In this match the numbers perhaps flattered the hosts, maybe 3-1 or 4-1 would have been a justified score but nevertheless Colo Colo didn't had a real chance. I am fully aware Colo Colo have potential to improve their play a lot, and they sure will during the long season.. However, they will have to defend a lot better than they have in previous matches if they want to win this one as the visitors are a dangerous team and in better form!

To sum up, Colo Colo with their potential and raw-class are favorites at home but not clear favorites for sure. I expect a balanced battle and we odds on the visitors winning or draw are too high.
