Libertadores ⅛ finals second leg. Previous game finished 1:1

Although Atletico Mineiro (who is among the main title contenders) dominated the game with +70% possession (even playing away), San Lorenzo played very well at home, finding the perfect moments to make the pressing and forcing Atletico MG to make mistakes in defense. That’s how San Lorenzo scored the first goal and also generated some other chances.

However, I expect a better performance by Atletico MG here. They have a great squad with a lot of quality and experience, as have been from the beginning among the main favorites to win this Libertadores Cup. Have players who are class above such as Paulinho (who already scored the equalizer in the first leg) or Arana.

In the weekend game against Cuiabá they made rotations and kept the main players on bench, in order to be fresh for this fixture.

They made a brilliant group stage winning ⅚ games, including both against Rosario Central (who is in my opinion at a similar level as San Lorenzo).

San Lorenzo is performing really bad this season in Argentina, sitting just one above the bottom with just 1 victory in 10 games. They have a weak squad whose value is less than half of Atletico MG, and for them to qualify in the group stage was already a big success.

They struggled a lot to do it, as they finished 2nd 6 points below Palmeiras (who is almost at the same level as Atletico MG. They drew both games against them but were outplayed and deserved to lose.

Nahuel Barrios is their main player and is expected to be the key here, especially because important players (Gaston Hernandez and Malcom Braida) are injured. Striker Cuello was great in the first leg and scored the first goal from a header.

Defender Jhohan Romaña is back after be suspended in the first leg. Eric Remedi will start on bench as he isn't at 100% yet. Will be replaced by the youngster Santiago Sosa.

For this fixture I expect hosts to show their quality and dominate the game again. They just need to avoid the defensive mistakes they made in the first game, and also be more effective as although dominated, didn’t generate too many chances. But I expect a better performance here, whilst I don’t see San Lorenzo improving too much.
