Last season, Real Betis finished in the 7th place with 57 points. The team a little bit struggled on the road but at home, they had 9 wins and 7 draws in 19 games, with a total of 27 goals scored and 19 conceded. Betis have seen several players depart since the end of last season, including Chadi Riad, German Pezzella, Juan Miranda, Guido Rodriguez, Willian Jose and Borja Iglesias. They have also bid farewell to Euro 2024 winner Ayoze Perez, who completed a permanent move to fellow La Liga club Villarreal on Tuesday.

While they have experienced significant departures, Betis have made several permanent additions, recruiting Marc Roca, Diego Llorente, Romain Perraud, Ricardo Rodriguez, Adrian and Iker Losada. It's safe to say that this is a different Griona team because players like Savinho, Aleix Garcia and Artem Dovbyk have all left the team.

There are new additions in Ladislav Krejci, Alejandro Frances, Oriol Romeu, Gabriel Misehouy, Donny van de Beek, Bryan Gil and Abel Ruiz. During the summer, Girona had 7 friendly games and they won just one - against Napoli. Girona lost to teams like Tolouse, Newcastle and Bournemouth.

This is going to be a different Girona team, not the one we were used to last season. It will take time to adjust the playing style, and I think that Betis should take advtange of this situation. They are at home and this will be their home opener, so I'm expecting them to at least get a point at the start of the season. One more thing - Betis haven't lost to Girona in La Liga games as Sevilla team has 2 wins and 2 draws.
