Brazil Women vs Spain Women

Brazil journey to the semi-finals is a combination of luck and bad luck, they started the tournament with a 1:0 win over Nigeria like expected, than against Japan even they didn't play well they were up 1:0 till the end and than two big mistakes costed them 2 goals and lost the game by 1:2 and in the 3rd game they lost 0:2 against Spain in a game where their legend Marta got a red card in the end of the first half, however, even with 11 vs 11 Spain was dominating them. In the quarter-finals they had a hard test against the home team France and won it, a bit luck in that game since France missed an early penalty kick and if that ball goes in things could have been way different but Brazil won and now they are here facing this Spain team they already faced in the group stage.

Spain came to this Olympics has one of the favourites to win the Gold Medal and they showed that in the group stage where they won all their games, 2:1 against Japan, 1:0 against Nigeria and 2:0 against Brazil. However, in the quarter-finals they had a big scare, one mistake gave Colombia the 1:0 lead and than another mistake in the 2nd half gave the 2:0 to Colombia and things were looking really bad for Spain because Colombia had a huge chance to score the 3:0 and missed and right away Spain managed to score the 1:2 and than very late in the game they scored the 2:2 and took the game to overtime and penalty shootout where they beat Colombia, overall, it was a lucky win but deserved one because they do dominated the game but they had some issues to stop those speed wingers from Colombia but I also believe that this win will give them even more confidence for the rest of the tournament.

I expect a similiar game like we saw in the group stage, Spain taking control of the game and Brazil trying to defend well and trying to hurt Spain in the counter attack like Colombia did but I don't think that Brazil has the players to be really a threat for Spain like we saw in the first game and my only concern here is Spain taking care of their chances, they have scored 7 goals in 4 games, it's not bad but if we look at the chances they had they should have scored more goals but in the end I expect Spain to conquer the win here and advance to the Final and fight for the Gold Medal, for me they are the better team and who has more quality, I think only the USA can match up well with them.
