Twente was the 3rd best team in the Netherlands championship last season. The gap between them and 2nd place Feyenoord was big. Twente struggled a little bit on the road as they had 7 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses, a total of 29 goals scored and 19 conceded. Twente also had 5 friendly games during the summer but the outcomes could have been more positive. Twente had only 1 win and they drew the rest of the 4 games. Twente was able to beat teams like Hannover and Schalke which are playing in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Both teams had some roster changes during the summer but I'm going with. Salzburg. They have shown much better results during the summer and they have already played some official games, showing that they should be in better shape. Salzburg is also a much valuable team as their worth are considered at 182.80 million euros while Twente is valued at 66.33. Salzburg is also a more experienced team as they managed to qualify to the Champions League last season but Twente hasn't played on the international group stage for a while.
