USA Women vs Japan Women

USA is one of the favourites to win the Gold Medal is this Olympics again, I think it will be between them and Spain when we look at quality of their squads. In the group stage the USA had no problems to finish in 1st place, they won all their three games, 3:0 against Zambia, 4:1 against Germany and 2:1 against Australia and even they scored 9 goals in 3 games they could have easily scored way more if they would have been more effected with their chances and even so they scored 9 goals, quite impressive. What makes this USA team always one of the best teams in the world is that they are physical superior to their opponents and are a team who plays a fast pace because of it and most of the teams have a hard time to deal with that.

Japan had a much harder group stage, they lost 1:2 against Spain in their opener and than they beat Brazil by 2:1 in a game where they scored two goals in the 90+2 and 90+6 minute in two huge mistakes from Brazil who had a hand ball who gave a free penalty to Japan and than a big mistakes where Japan young player scored an amazing long shot over the Brazilian Goalkeeper, two offers in that game saved Japan. Than in the last game they beat Nigeria by 3:1 like expected since that was the weakest team in the group. What makes Japan a good team is that they are solid has an collective team, they don't usually beat themselves, you need to beat them but I think that USA physical advantages will be once again a problem like it always is when this two teams face each other, they have always big problems against them because of that.

Even I like Japan has a team and how they play together I believe that USA is just a much stronger team here, their physical advantages will be an issue for Japan's defensive line and also in set pieces USA will cause a lot of match-up problems to Japan's defensive line and overall USA has been just very strong, their attack with Swanson, Smith and Rodman is amazing and supported by Horan and Lavelle behind them make this USA a very dangerous one, like I said, they have been scoring a lot of goals but it could have been much more, they have no issues on creating scoring chances and will just be a matter to take those chances and put the ball in the net, overall I believe that USA will beat Japan here by 2:1 or 3:1.
