Huge quality difference here.

First game finished 1:1, but Kilmarnock had a huge advantage: it was played in the Rugby Park in Scotland, which is artificial turf. Cercle Brugge’s coach was very angry with the pitch, as it was in terrible conditions and not able to develop football professionally, also due to the heavy rain. That’s why although they dominated the game, they weren't able to win.

Cercle Brugge was clearly the favorite to qualify here. However, many of their players weren’t at their best level. They have a much better squad: their value is above 60MM Euros, 6 times more than Kilmarnock (10MM Euros). Brugge has some top players such as striker Kevin Denkey, whose value (16MM) is more than the whole Kilmarnock team.

Denkey was the topscorer in the Jupiler Pro League last season, with 27 goals scored. I expect him to be the main threat upfront here today, as was quiet and made a poor performance in the first game. The young Nigerian winger, Olaigbe, was also the best player in the previous game for me, scoring the goal and making a brilliant performance.

For this fixture they’ll play at home, in a natural and a good pitch, so should be able to impose their quality.

Kilmarnock is a very weak team from the Scotting league. Coach Deren McInnes did a great job in the first game, but now it will be much more difficult. They have a weak squad and finished 4th in the Premiership. Deren McInnes was named the coach of the season, so he is the main star in this team.

Kilmarnock have worse players than Cercle Brugge in each position. In the first game, midfielder Watson was their best player, who also scored the goal, but he is a very average player at only 19 years old. Their best player is winger Danny Armstrong.

Kilmarnock has a very young squad without experience, and surely will struggle in a big and natural pitch like this one. Last season, against Celtic and Rangers (the two best teams in Scotland) were totally outplayed, losing 0:5 and 4:1 in the Championship round.

Furthermore, Cercle Brugge made a better preseason, playing more competitive games against stronger teams like Feyenoord, Monaco or AEK Larnaca, whilst Kilmarnock played against very weak teams like Ayr, TNS or Barrow.

I expect the hosts to dominate this game and win this easily.
