If both teams make the same performance as they did in the previous game, USA should win this easily.

Australia is coming from a lucky victory 6:5 against Zambia. However, at 56’, they were 2:5 down. They gained confidence, especially upfront, but left a very worrying performance. Conceding 5 goals in 55 minutes against a weak team like Zambia isn’t positive, especially because against Germany in the first round conceded three goals as well. Their defense in this tournament is terrible, and I expect them to struggle here.

Against Germany showed a lack of creativity and clinical finishing which was solved against Zambia, but I think it was more Zambia’s fault that Australia's improvement.

They have a terrible organisation but good pressing tactics, but upfront I expect them to struggle without their main player - Sam Kerr, who is missing this tournament due to an injury. In Zambia’s victory, all 3 goals came from defenders. Kerr’s replacement - Mary Flower is not performing well, and is Haley Raso who looks the real danger upfront. Without their star striker Sam Kerr it’s clear Australia lacks some explosiveness upfront.

On the other hand, the USA has been fantastic so far. Dominated Zambia in the first round winning 3:0 easily, and in the second round they beat one of the title contenders - Germany, winning 4:1. I expected Germany to cause some troubles there, but USA made a brilliant performance with more possession and several players in very good form, such as Sophia Smith (who scored twice) or Swanson, who scored 1 vs Germany and 2 vs Zambia.

Upfront is where USA is performing better, with the trio Smith - Swanson - Rodman at a very high level, as well as Horan, who looks to become the new United States’s star in near future.

If the USA plays with the same intensity and creativity upfront as they did against Germany, they should be able to beat Australia easily. Germany (and the USA) are a much better team than Australia. Furthermore, the defense shown by the Aussies has been terrible so far, whilst USA has proven to be one of the best teams in this tournament: they have scored the highest number of goals so far, won both games, conceded only 1 goal, and have a lot of quality upfront.
