I can’t see Spain favorite here.

Spain is heavily overrated in the Euro. The squad is so poor, without strong players like Sergio Ramos. The lack of quality is obvious, but also the lack of compenetration between the players because a lot of new are playing in different leagues and didn't play too many games together in the national team.

The qualification stage for the Euro has been poor for a big team like Spain. They conceded draws against very weak sides like Ukraine and Sweden, in the World Cup qualification also drew vs Greece.

Is a team with lack of goal. They dominate the game, but aren’t able to score goals or create clear goal chances. Also in defence they are conceding goals due to the bad performances of De Gea. And for this match, key defenders like Sergio Ramos and Iñigo Martinez (the starter couple of CB) are not in the team.

On the other hand, Portugal is a very strong squad. For me they are in the same bag as France or Belgium, the top favorites. They have a very competitive team with great players, including Cristiano Ronaldo or Bruno Fernandes. They have quality, experience and young promises like Joao Felix.

We must remember that this team won the previous Eurocup in 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2019. In their last 13 official games, just lost against France (0:1) playing very well. On the other side, Spain just won 7 of the last 15 played.

For sure they will have chances to score against the weak spanish defence, while they will just need to be solid at the back to avoid making mistakes because Spain will have many problems to create chances. Portugal will be very dangerous at counters. The kind of game I'm expecting is much more favorable to Portugal.

I’m expecting a tight game, like the previous friendly played in October where both drew 0:0. But definitely Spain can’t be favorite. I see them with weaker squad than Portugal, and I believe that portuggese team is much more prepared for the Euro than Spain.
