As a whole, in my expert analysis, the Norwegian Eliteserien and Danish Superliga are about the same level. Denmark is a country with a great football culture and Denmark qualified for the last World Cup as well as the EURO 2024 and EURO 2020. Danish teams are often undervalued in international club games. Why this is – I do not fully understand.. For example FC Copenhagen, undervalued in many games, even qualified for the UEFA Champions League Playoffs last season! They were eventually beaten by Manchester City, a top-2 team on the planet, though. Norsdsjaelland and Midtjylland have performed pretty well in international games in the last five or so years. Silkeborg, too, have played at a decent level in 2022 in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Molde played some very good games against dangerous opponents last season. Furthermore, Bodo/Glimt too have achieved decent results in Europe.. Silkeborg had a disappointing last season. They ended up in 6th place in the Superliga last season. I expect them to do better this season! They have the quality players to challenge for a top-4 place.. In the opening round of the Superliga they beat Sonderjyske at home 1-0. They recorded many more goal attempts, shots on goal, shots off goal as well as attacks. Moreover, they generated 1.78 in xG – much more than the visitors. Molde have won only one of their last three games and seem to be having a difficult period. In their last game they were priced around 1.50 against KFUM Oslo, a pretty small, newly promoted team. However, they lost 2-3 after a poor defensive performance. The visitors even recorded one more goal attempt and shots on goal! Molde had more shots on goal but KFUM generated more in xG 1.67-1.86. Before this it was a goalless draw against Fredrikstad as solid favourites on the betting market.. The hosts recorded many more goal attempts and shots on goal – 7-2! Moreover, the xG numbers were 1.55-0.79 in the hosts' favour. It was a lame performance from Molde as a whole.. Let's also not forget that according to a well-known and respected German website, Transfermarkt.com, Molde are the bigger team here – but not by a very wide margin.. Indeed, their players are valued at some 26.50 million euros. The Silkeborg squad is valued at about 18.40 million. Both numbers are a bit too low..
