Norrkoping is having a terrible season. They have only 11 points and are one above the bottom, as the worst team in the league at the moment in terms of form - winless in last 6 league games with 5 defeats.

They have been terrible in defense conceding 32 goals so far, including huge defeats in the last rounds against Sirius (5:1) and Varnamo (0:4), and have the worst defense in the Allsvenskan.

Coach Andreas Alm is under big pressure and looks like the only way to revert this situation is a change in the coach. You might think that they have had a month to improve, but during this break they played a friendly against Goteborg where they lost 1:0 with a bad performance and conceding a goal in the first minute of the game.

They have not made any interesting transfers during this period.

On the other hand, Djugardens is a very strong team who will fight for the TOP3. They are third at the moment with a very solid defense, as they have conceded just 11 goals in 12 games. 3 of them came in their last game which was a huge defeat 0:3 against Hammarby, who is 4th. This defeat was the end for an impressive winning run of 5 consecutive games.

They are 10 points below Malmo with two less games played, so if they want to be in the title rice must achieve two victories in those two games they have left.

They have quality in all positions and Dennis Hummet is in great form with 6 goals in the last 8 games. Nguen is another interesting player who arrived to the team without form and then received a red card + suspension, but in the few minutes he played has been great with good goals and individual quality. Now he has had 1 month to gain form so surely will be dangerous here.

I believe that it’s difficult for a team to change too much in just one month, especially talking about Norrkoping who has been terrible this season and looks like one of the main relegation contenders, especially if they don’t make changes in the bench. A team like this is not able to compete and beat a strong side like Djurgarden, who is a very solid team and difficult to beat: only Malmo (1st), Hammarby (4th) and AIK (strong team) did it so far.

The match will be played in artificial turf which won’t be a problem for Djurgarden, as they already made good performances in this kind of pitch.

I don’t expect Norrkoping to change too much in comparison with their previous performances, especially in defense. They need a new coach with new tactics and also some changes in the lineup. Djurgarden has been a very strong team so far and surely will be looking for a victory after their terrible defeat 0:3 at home in their last game. This fixture looks easy on paper and a perfect chance to get the three points. I expect Djurgarden to score at least 2-3 goals whilst I don’t see Norrkoping able to score more than 1, if they do it.
