Netherlands vs Turkey

The Netherlands is not one of the favourites in my opinion but since they are in the weak side of the bracket they can for sure dream about to make the final. In their group stage they had a hard group, won 2:1 against Poland, got a 0:0 draw against France and than lost 2:3 against Austria but 4 points was enough for them to be one of the four best 3rd places in the competition. In their first elimination round they had no problems to beat Romania by 3:0, very solid performance and dominated the whole game and overall it was an easy game but to be fair, that win was expected like winning today is also expected in my opinion so I see here really good chances for them to make the semi-finals.

Turkey ended their group in 2nd place behind Portugal, they beat Georgia by 3:1, than lost 0:3 to Portugal and beat Czech by 2:1 in a game they shouldn't have won. In their elimination round they beat Austria by 2:1 in a crazy game, Turkey scored in the 1st minute of the game and when Austria was dominating them they managed to score the 2:0 out of nowhere, than they suffered the 1:2 and Austria had multiple chances to make the drawing goal but missed their chances and Turkey somehow survived that elimination and got their ticket to the quarter-finals.

Netherlands lost to Austria and Turkey beat Austria so why going with the Netherlands here? Well, results sometimes doesn't show what happended in those games, Netherlands vs Austria was a very even match and really good to watch but Netherlands lost in a really good game from both teams and on the other side Austria dominated most of the time Turkey but weren't effective and Turkey with their couple of chances scored twice, Austria was the better team but in football sometimes the better team doesn't win. Also, for this game Turkey has some really bad news, they will miss Demiral who scored the two goals against Austria, he got suspended from the UEFA and it's a really big blow and also they will miss Kokcu in mid-field too who is a key player for them and I think the Netherlands will take advantage of that and beat this Turkey team by 2:0 or 3:0, maybe Turkey scores one goal or so but overall I give the edge to the Netherlands here.
