Austria vs Turkey

Is Austria really a surprise to be her? For me not because since Coach Ralf Rangnick took control of the team they started to play amazing team football, great intensity, great pressure all the time and overall even they don't have any super star player they do have solid players overall and together they are a really good team and will not be easy to beat. In their group stage they showed heart after losing their first game to France by 0:1 after an own goal, the game was very even in my opinion and Austria looked really well and organised against France but that own goal hurt them and starting with a loss puts a lot of pressure to a team and they showed up in the next two games, they beat Poland by 3:1 showing superiorty on the field and also beat the Netherlands by 3:2 in the other game what in the end put them in the 1st place of the group and on the easier side of the bracket what can make Austria dream a bit more, but first things first, they need to beat Turkey.

Turkey managed to end their group stage in 2nd place but personally they didn't convince me at all, they beat Georgia by 3:1 because they were more effective and scored some super goals and started the tournament with a important win, than against Portugal they lost 0:3 in a game they didn't had any chance to beat Portugal, Portugal dominated them without any problems and in the last game they beat Czech by 2:1 because Czech got an early red card in the 20th minute of the game and to be fair, even with 10 men vs 11 Czech was quite the better team overall and now they will face a team who has been in good spirits and showing amazing team football and who put a lot pressure on their opponent, something that Turkey really don't like in my opinion.

Turkey has good players in the attack but their defensive line is a weak one, also, they don't like to face pressure and Austria is a pressure masterclass team under Coach Rangnick and that means that Austria will force a lot of bad passes, bad choices and bad ball losses that Austria than can take advantage off with the players they have. Overall has an collective unit, Austria is a much better team than Turkey, they are solid in every sector, defend really well, good on set pieces and also good in the attack against teams who aren't good at defending what is the case in Turkey and that's why I believe that Austria will find a way to beat Turkey and advance to the next round.
