Panama needs a victory to have chances to qualify and I see them winning here.

Bolivia has been terrible. This is not a surprise, they have been terrible in all international tournaments, their only and main strength is the altitude in La Paz. They made a poor preparation for this tournament, with defeats against weak teams and totally outplayed when they faced the serious ones.

They have lost both games so far: destroyed 5:0 by Uruguay and lost 2:0 against the USA. And couldn’t see any plan in the team for both games. Tried to defend, but made it terrible. And upfront they totally disappeared: 0.19 expected goals (and 1 shot) against Uruguay, 0.13 against the USA. They didn’t even have a good chance or goal situation so far.

And this is not new: Bolivia lacks goal due to their low quality, as they don't have any good players in Europe. Almost all of their squad is playing in the local league.

In the World Cup Qualifiers already made a poor performance: classified as 9th with just 3 points, which was a hom win in La Paz against bottom Peru. Lost the other 5 games played so far.

Their only chance to win fixtures is to keep the goal to nil, a quiet game, and try to find some miracle upfront. But it looks like they don’t have any plan, just defend and wait for the time to go until something appears.

On the other hand, I expected Panama to be one of the surprises of the tournament. They achieved good results in CONCACAF, improved a lot in recent years, and have an interesting core of players: Carrasquilla, Cordoba, Puma… and Murillo, who has been great in both games playing in the wing.

Under this manager they reached the Gold Cup final, beating the USA in the semi-finals and losing against Mexico in the final conceding at 88’ but playing very well. They have a squad with quality to fight against any rival and should easily beat a weak one like Bolivia.

Played well against Uruguay, as till 85’ they were losing only 1:0 and had some chances to score. Then, they beat the USA 2:1, although they were helped by the red card to Weah at 18’ as well. But showed a good competitive spirit and tactics to make a comeback, which isn’t easy playing against a well-organized team defending the lead.

Panama is the better team and should leave with a win. Bolivia hasn’t been able to stop anyone, so I’m expecting goals and an easy victory by Panama. They have the same points as the USA but worse goal difference (2 goals), so need a big win to qualify or wait for USA to not achieve the victory against Uruguay. Bolivia has no chances so apart of their terrible tactics and low quality, will be unmotivated.
