Turkey started the tournament with a very interesting game against Georgia. It was an up-and-running battle, both teams showed very interesting football but Turkey managed to win 3:1. While it was a debut match for Georgia, Turkey's misses on defense allowed the opponents plenty of opportunities to score. Yes, Turkey had a bigger ball control and more shots overall, but from a big chance perspective, it was a tie - 5 vs. 5. Turkey was also a little bit lucky because two times Georgians hit the woodwork.

Portugal's first game was much closer than anybody expected because they secured the win over Czechia only in the 92nd minute - 2:1. If we look at the stats, Portugal was all over the opponents - they had 73% ball control, 4 big chances to score against 0, 19 total shots vs 5 and 8 shots on target vs 1. Czechia's goalkeeper had 7 saves so the score could have been even bigger if not for his heroic performance.

This game is probably for the 1st place in the group. Both teams are the best in their group but I can't go against Portugal. They have a more talented team and they have a very deep roster. Francisco Conceicao got subbed-in in the 90th minute and two minutes later he already scored the winning goal. Georgia already showed some Turkey flaws on defense and they haven't been a great defensive team. Portugal has plenty of talent on offense to make opponents pay and I'm expecting Portugal's win.
