This is a rare choice for me, going against Barcelona at home, but there are a plenty of reasons.

Firstly a look at lineups:

Even if Messi has not been quite as good as on previous seasons, he has still been the best player in La Liga this season! He is unbelievably important, and now when Koeman's Barca struggle at times he is more important than ever.

The other ones are long-term absentees except Alba, and having to replace him with Junior Firpo is a dig downgrade.

At Eibar nothing dramatic. A few doubts, who are all replaceable.

Last round Barca played one of their best matches of the season, Barca experimented with a 3 man defense and Jordi as a wing-back. Messi once more was the outstanding figure and man of the match.

Eibar played an even game vs Alaves, had their chances to win but in the end Alaves punished from counters. On the previous round they conceded two early goals vs Real Madrid and had a weak first half, but on the 2nd they were clearly the better side and should had deserved a draw instead of the 1-3 loss with an extra time goal.

In the actual table Barca are 5th with 24 points. The xG-table gives them a few points more. Eibar are 17th with 15 points, they also would had deserved a few points more and a midtable position.

Barca are in turmoil also off the pitch with the club president elections going on and Messi all the time wanting to leave. On paper the starting attackers today are more than decent, but if Koeman is stupid enough to bench Pjanic again I am not at all sure there are enough goals from out of form Griezmann and Coutinho tonight.

A long story short, Barca are not Barca with these absentees, and Eibar are a decent club who deserve more. Barca are defensively very suspicious, they have conceded worth of 20 goals in xG in 14 games, which is the same with Eibar from 15.
