The promoted Gnistan side started the season well, but the performances and results weakened before getting a draw away at poor AC Oulu last round in difficult conditions. The small and cozy stadium is sold out, and the atmosphere is great but classwise it still will show also on the pitch that their only goal this season at Gnistan is survival, they are not among the top 6 just yet on their first season even in the top flight. The coach Leppälahti is a controversial figure, and he is still too young to handle the 24/7 pressure from big games.

The top centre-back Juhani Ojala is suspended, he is key man and ex-international for Finland, and it is bad news for the already shaky defense.

KuPS are otherwise great, but their attacking personnel raised a lot of questions when the season started. They are not scoring freely normally, but they did something nobody else had done for a long time, they ended the historically long run of VPS without a defeat by a 2-1 win, and it shows their class! Maybe they are the biggest title candidate now after all, even if their budget was cut significantly from last season.

KuPS miss defender Cisse, and it is bad news and makes me to smooth the estimation of total goals, but all in all, KuPS are the better team in every department here and will win this in the end, they have the resilience and experience, and some of the lesser known strikers will score the winner.
