The previous game was a fantastic performance by both teams, where Real Madrid showed again their impressive competitive spirit in the UCL, managing to survive in any situation and against any team.

Bayern dominated the game but struggled a lot with Real Madrid’s counters, where Toni Kroos made a great game controlling the midfield and making the final pass, while upfront Vinicius is showing again that is one of the best players in the world. He has an amazing ability to dribble, finish and also assist his teammates, and surely we’ll see another superb performance from him.

Bellingham is also another player I expect to improve, as he made a discreet game in the Allianz Arena but surely in the Santiago Bernabeu he’ll make a better game.

In the previous game we saw the main Bayern’s weak point: the defense. They have been conceding a lot during the whole season and Madrid managed to score two goals very easily. They were unable to stop Vinicius and neither to avoid passes/assists from Toni Kroos, and surely in this game will struggle even more.

For Bayern there has been the feeling that they wasted the opportunity, as they were leading 2:1 but weren’t able to control the game in the last minutes. They also missed some chances and against teams like Real, especially with the second leg away from home, you have to capitalize on any chances you have. You have to smell blood and put them in as big a hole as possible. Bayern had that opportunity but wasted it.

With that said, Real also never really felt uncomfortable in this match. Even when they were down 2-1, it never really looked like they were too concerned with how things were going.

They have an obvious belief in themselves that could ultimately be the difference maker in this tie. They know they’re better. They know that Bayern will make mistakes. They know they can and will capitalize on them.

For Bayern in the second tie, I think they’re going to have to do something to break Real out of that belief. There needs to be some kind of X factor that throws just a little bit of doubt in their head and if that happens they have to pounce.

Real Madrid is the best team in the world in this competition, and an expert in the knockout stages. They have quality, confidence and experience to manage all kinds of situations that may appear. Bayern needs to make a perfect game (something I really doubt) and hope that Madrid makes more mistakes, something I also doubt as Madrid use to play this kind of game very well.
