I still see PSG favorite to qualify to the final in this leg.

First game was an amazing performance by Borussia, who created an amazing atmosphere at the Signal Iduna Park and made the team play a great game.

It’s fair to say that Borussia Dortmund deserved the victory, although both teams had chances enough to see more goals. Especially Kylian Mbappé who sent a shot to the post, but also both goalkeepers and defenders made great saves in the two areas.

I expect PSG to make a strong start of the game, especially trying to take advantage of Borussia’s weak point: their slow defenders and their lack of pace. They already struggled in the first leg and here I expect much more action from PSG upfront, with players like Demebele or Mbappe who have been performing great recently.

This will be Mbappe's last game at their hometown in the UCL with PSG, so I expect him to make a good performance.

In previous game Borussia created many chances from the wings, so Achraf Hakimi will be important in this fixture. PSG also needs to control their best player - Marcel Sabitzer, and also will have to deal with goalkeeper Gregorio Kobel who has been one of the best goalkeepers in the tournament so far with amazing saves.

Borussia Dortmund is well known for their mental strength, but I can’t see them being able to hold the result for a long time here with PSG pushing hard. They have been living on the edge during the whole tournament, with some very lucky actions in the most important games of the tournament so far.

Another important point is that also PSG didn’t play a league game this weekend (as opposed to Borussia), so they rested all players and will be physically stronger.

Both teams already played in the group stage as well. The first game was in Dortmund with the spoils split 1-1. However, it was a game that PSG controlled with 60% possession and 18 shots to Dortmund’s 16. Then in the second game in Paris, it was a 2-0 win for the home side, with Dortmund getting just one of their 14 shots on target and having just 31% possession.

I believe that the previous game was a mix of everything: strong performance by Borussia, low effectiveness upfront by PSG (which is very rare) and also a bit of luck. But I expect this game to see the real advantage that PSG has.

I expect PSG to dominate this game with over 60% possession and create plenty of chances. They just need to be cautious with Borussia’s counter attacks and the long balls to Fullkrug (as they did and managed to score in the previous game).
