Frankfurt host Bayer Leverkusen for this German Bundesliga round 32 battle at Deutsche Bank Park late Sunday evening Beijing time. A total of 34 rounds will be played. Football fans and us serious, profit-hungry bettors can expect a match of high quality here between these two strong teams!  Betting-wise the match is very interesting. Leverkusen have already secured the championship a few weeks ago for the first time ever. Their amazing manager, former Liverpool and Real Madrid player, Xabi Alonso, might well do some squad rotation here – perhaps even heavy..  They will play against Roma, a very dangerous team from Italy, next Thursday in the Europa League 2nd leg. Leverkusen won 2-0 in Roma late on Thursday (Italy time) and did deserve the win. They have had only two full days to rest and prepare for this difficult game in Frankfurt. This is far from optimal in professional football.. Roma had 58% ball possession and the expected goals (xG) numbers were 1.55-1.89 – the final score flatters Leverkusen.. They cannot go into the second leg relaxed and I expect Alonso to respect Roma – consequently taking the game very seriously – despite resting for example the regular starter, Hradecky, in this competition.. Frankfurt have a lot to play for here as they are in the 6th place. This place would bring them a ticket for the UEFA Europa League group stage next season, which would be a very good achievement for Frankfurt.

Before beating Roma they played a 2-2 draw at home against Stuttgart as clear favourites – priced around 1.80 to win by the bookies.. The visitors generated significantly more in xG – 1.88-1.42 to be precise. Before this it was a somewhat balanced clash on the road against Dortmund as narrow favourites according to the bookies. It was a 1-1 draw and Leverkusen generated marginally more in xG – 1.32-1.27. Frankfurt have been in mediocre form recently. In their last game they lost to Bayern Munich, last season's champions, 1-2 on the road as big underdogs – priced around 6.50 to win. Bayern, who have improved a lot recently, deserved the three points but Frankfurt played at a satisfactory level as a whole.
