Offensively, they are the second most efficient team in the league, but the problem is in the defense, which conceded the same number of goals as 15th placed Le Havre. Before the match with Lyon, they did not concede a goal in three matches, which is certainly encouraging. Today they have the worst attack in the league and I'm pretty sure Monaco's defense will be able to handle them. Clermont, who scored 25 goals in 31 games so far, expects a big fight for survival until the end of the season. In the previous round, they completely unexpectedly defeated Reims with 4-1 and in that way they gave themselves hope that they could stay in the league. However, for that to happen, they have to give more than their maximum, because after this match, they will have a game against Lyon, and then against Lorient, which is their direct rival in the fight for survival. Of course, what doesn't work for them is the fact that their survival in the league depends not only on them, but also on the results of their competitors. The big problem for Clermont this season was away games and they have won only 2 in 15 games so far. As the table shows, they play quite badly and seem to play without a plan. They often resort to long balls and shots from a distance, which does not bring them many results. Despite the result from the last game, Clermont is a far worse team than Monaco and I believe that we will be able to see that in this match.
