Dusseldorf is one more year fighting for the promotion, which is their target. After St Pauli, the leaders and recently relegated have an amazing squad, they have the best team in the league in my opinion. A lot of experience, quality, and particularly strong at making the game and creating chances thanks to their very high individual quality. They are technically closer to 1. Bundesliga level.

Their problem has been their small squad throughout this season, so injuries have always hit them very hard. But in the meanwhile, everybody important is fit again. Fortuna's recent form has been very good, too, and this is a very important game in the promotion race.

Unfortunately their great midfielder Tanaka will be out, but they still have good alternatives in the midfield available. Their Greek international striker Christos Tzolis is in great form this season, with 17 goals scored in 24 games so far. He is a super clinical converter and undoubtedly one of the best players in the 2. Bundesliga.

Their playing ability is so good that creating chances against park-the-bus-opponents like Braunschweig should be an easy task for them. With 59 goals scored in 27 rounds, Fortuna Dusseldorf has the best attack in the competition.

Last season they did not manage to get promoted and finished 4th in the league. This season they are 3rd, with just one point advantage with Hamburgo and 2 above Hannover. Second position, which gives direct promotion and not a playoff game, is pretty far (6 points).

Maybe this will even play a small role that they will have this massive game against Hannover next week which will be so, so important for the fans and the club in general.

However that may be, I believe in Fortuna to successfully make the running and produce enough chances here. Dusseldorf is technically closer to 1. Bundesliga level, whereas Braunschweig is among the worst teams in the league. Hosts are individually better on literally every single position. So I think that chances should be good that they will win this game. The previous game this season finished 1:4 for Dusseldorf, and last season at home they beat Braunschweig 3:1.
