In my opinion Manchester United has a really good chance to make at least one point in today’s match.

United have a big mental advantage before this game as they haven't lost in 13 of their last 14 matches against Chelsea. For sure guests’ came to Stamford Bridge without any fear as they lost here in 2018 last time.

April is always a good month for Manchester United, Manchester United has won more games (80) and has a greater win percentage (59.7%) in April than any other Premier League team in history. On the other hand, for Chelsea April is a very bad month. They failed to win in the last 6 consecutive matches played in April and failed to win in 9 of the last 10 home league matches in April.

Obviously, Manchester United is not a top class team in the Premier League, but they are still top6 side, no doubt about that. On the other hand, Chelsea's crisis is huge - they finished last season outside top10 and currently they are again in the bottom half of the table so this is not a coincidence.

In 2024 Manchester United played 13 matches in all competitions and recorded only two losses - against Fulham at home (United had higher expected goals scored value and conceded a goal in the last minute) and against title defender Manchester City. On the other hand, during that run they won against strong teams like West Ham, Aston Villa or Liverpool.

Chelsea in the last 7 matches won only against Newcastle and against two teams from Championship (Leeds and Leicester). For me their form is far away from convincing. At the weekend they failed to win at home against Burnley from relegation zone.

Chelsea's defensive formation is very unstable - they conceded more than one goal in the last 5 matches in a row. Today they are without key central defender Gusto so we will see old, slow Thiago Silva on the pitch. He should have big troubles to stop quick United striker Hojlund. United scored more than one goal in 9 of their 13 matches in 2024. I can’t imagine a clean sheet for Chelsea today. I see a minimum one goal for United and that should be simply enough to at least avoid loss here.
