Spain has one of the worst squads in more than 15 years. The current players' generation is terrible, including the coach. There aren’t any TOP10 players in the world in any position, except midfielder Rodri.

Goalkeeper Unai Simon is good but sometimes makes huge mistakes, defenders are some veterans (Carvajal), others lacking pace because they are playing in Arabia (Laporte) and others are simply too weak (Cucurella, Le Normand…). Midfielders are not able to control the game, it’s very easy to dominate Spain. Without Pedri and Gavi and without replacements for the old amazing midfielders that Spain had (Busquets, Xavi…) Spain is not controlling the games.

And upfront, there isn’t any reliable scorer. Williams is a good dribbler, but he is young and is lacking consistency. Joselu or Morata are good strikers, but not TOP ones. The team has a huge lack of goal and inability to create chances.

So in general, Spain has a very average team with average players. The old times when they were one of the best national teams in the world are over. And the defeat against Colombia last weekend (although played with reserves) has been the best example.

On the other hand, Brasil has a great generation of new young players who are in a great level. They are definitely again one of the best national teams in the world, especially thanks to their attack which has many game-changers and players who are TOP in their position.

They are coming with confidence after beating England in Wembley, which has been a huge success for them. In order to get ready for the Copa America, they are playing friendlies against TOP teams in Europe and are performing very well. Their weak point is in defense, where they are lacking quality and experience as a team so are conceding pretty much. However, who needs a good defense having strikers like Vinicius or Rodrygo.

I expect Vinicius to be very motivated here, as he is starting to receive attacks from all the fans in Spain, so surely there will be a lot of pressure on him in this fixture. And in this situations is where he shows his best level, which shows why he is one of the best in the world.

Spain won’t be able to control the fast attack transitions by Brazil, and will need to score at least a couple of goals to win this game. Seeing the squad and current level of the team upfront, it would be a big surprise for me.
