In my opinion Villarreal has really good chances to make win in today's match.

First match between both teams finished with Marseille 4:0 win at home so this tie is almost done. Is extremely hard to imagine spectacular comeback for Villarreal, but in those circumstances Marseille motivation shouldn't be on the highest level. For them, loss with 2-3 goals difference is acceptable.

Marseille is highly focused on Ligue 1 at the moment. Only 9 rounds left and they are only 3 points behind 4th position (Champions League qualies). It's achievable, but not room for error. At Sunday Marseille going to play on the road against Rennes (one place behind). It's very important game and for sure it's the highest priority. I expect big rotation in the first line up today and for sure top players will not play 90 minutes in this game. That should have very bad impact on Marseilles quality. In addition to that, they are poor team on the road as they failed to win in 10 of 12 Ligue 1 matches in current season.

In overall Villarreal is in solid form. In last two month's they lost only against Marseille.. During that run they won against Barcelona, Sociedad or Betis (on the road last weekend). Villarreal won last 3 consecutive matches in La Liga and in each game scored more than two goals. Their form is simply good enough to beat at home not fully motivated, depleted Marseille.

I'm sure Villarreal wants to win front of their home crowd to make supporters happy and to keep momentum for upcoming league matches. In those circumstances home win looks like excellent option to play. I see big difference in terms of motivation.
