The Champions League is back! On Tuesday night, the first two TOP 16-round games are going to happen. One of the games will be between Copenhagen and Manchester City. In this game, I'm going with City winning by at least a 2 goal margin.

Copenhagen is having an interesting period. There's a big break in their national championship so they are competing in the Atlantic Cup. As of the time of writing, the team has played 2 games and will have one more. There will be played 3 games in 5 days for Copenhagen and they won't resume the Danish championship on the weekend like every other team. It brings some concerns about the team's fitness status and ability to compete against such a team as City. During the group stage, Copenhagen had 2 wins and 1 loss at home, they scored a total of 6 points and conceded 5 times. The team had an xG of 7.6 during the group stage, xGA was 8.7 with a difference of -1.1 which was the worst in the group.

The City has been playing very well recently. The team has 7 wins in a row and in 5 games they have won by at least a 2 goal margin. They should have also beaten Newcastle by at least a 2-goal margin as the xG difference was 1.70. The most important thing though is that Eerling Haaland is back! He was out because of an injury but now has played in the last couple of games. During the Champions League group stage, City won all 6 games, scored a total of 18 goals and conceded 7. In two road games, City won by 3:1 and the last one was 3:2. Manchester generated an xG of 17, xGA was 3.3 with a difference of 13.7.

In my opinion, there's no doubt who's the favorite here. Copenhagen can't be in great shape while City is playing every week and they will be very focused. In 2022, teams played in Denmark, and the score was 0:0 but that's because City got a red card. I fully expect City to win by at least a 2 goal margin.
