If you have read me earlier you may know I do not rate the Cadiz football team too highly, despite being a big fan of the city and the people. They are and they have been worth relegation all these last seasons, but miraculously have avoided the drop.

Simply, the team is very mediocre and almost fully incapable of winning games on their own, which shows well in the current standings as they have won 2 of their 19 games. On the other hand there are a lot of low-scoring draws, but they have often come with relatively big amount of good effort, and luck!

Their goal difference is 14-26, the performance data suggests it should be around 16-33 so there have a lot of saves and late blocks.

What is slightly helpful here is that their points tend to come from their home games where they have good support, but as a whole Cadiz are 15 rounds without a win and there is no reason to see it happening today.

Fourteen goals scored! 5 by Ramos, 3 by Machis, 2 by Roger and 1 by Hernandez, the last two of these out today as well as suspended Sobrino, but in the first two matches of 2024 Cadiz are yet to score, they have not really even been very close so far.

Valencia are 2-3-5 on the road, they have won their last two games in the league and before that they drew 1-1 with Barcelona.

In October they won the reverse fixture 2-0 with goals of Gaya and Duro, but the best performer of the team has been Pepelu who has been a big part in the relative success of the young Valencia team.

The Valencian team is better at all departments, they lost two players to African Cup, but as they were defender Diakhaby and midfielder Amallah they do not lose any firepower, and defensively they should have worries against the weak and goalshy Cadiz side.

Cadiz lost their cup match against a 4th tier side already in December, Valencia are in top-16 after winning Cartagena away. The one and only worry I have here is that Valencia have cup again next Wednesday and they might have that game in mind, but I like to take a high price risk with a -1.5. If you have an option for a dnb, the moneyline, it might be worth consideration.
