In my opinion Lille is the clear favorite of this game and should be able to win comfortably with at least 2 goals difference. -1.5 AH on the home side looks like the best option to play.

Lille currently have a great streak at home against Lorient. Lille won the last three matches in front of the home crowd against Lorient and all of them with at least 2 goals difference.

Lille started 2024 in the best possible way, they recorded a huge 12:0 win in Coupe de France against amateur team Golden Lion. In the Ligue 1 Lille is very solid in front of the home crowd - 5 wins in 8 home matches with a nice 11:4 goals balance. Last home game against strong PSG finished with a draw 1:1 and Lille had higher expected goals scored number than opponents in that game. Lille lineup for today’s match looks very strong. We will see on the pitch key players Andre, Ribeiro, David, Yazici or Zhegrova.

On the other hand Lorient have enormous squad problems. Today they are without best scorer Faivre, third-best scorer Dieng, important winger Doucoure and without 7 (!!!) defenders: Talbi, Mendy, Yongwa, Kalulu, Le Goff, B. Mendy & Laporte (all of them played at least 8 matches in the current season!). It's a huge blow and should have a very bad impact on guests performance.

Lorient lost 5 of the 8 away matches in the current season; they have conceded 18 goals in the process. Lorient lost the last 4 matches in a row (including a loss in the Cup against Sochaux from Ligue2). In each game they conceded more than one goal. I see continuation of that streak and routine win for the home side against depleted Lorient.
