FC Arouca vs Benfica

Arouca has some nice results lately what has put the team in a decent 11th place on the table and their attack has been clicking lately, they scored 4 goals against Boavista and Estrela, 3 goals against Gil Vicente and 2 goals against Rio Ave and the reason is simple, they don't play afraid even against the top teams, they play their style and try to win the game like that and I can respect that, it's what usually helps this weaker teams to survive in the league and creating game time habits but it's also the reason why their home record ain't that good at all, because this style has some risks and especially against the good teams who like to pressure high and have a decent attack gave them issues and Benfica always gave them problems in their own home.

The good news for Arouca is that they don't have any key injuries for this game.

Benfica is in 2nd place and Sporting won their game yesterday, so a little bit of pressure here on Benfica side to win this game but pressure usually is a good thing, it means they will not this take easy and go for the win since the beginning of the game. Benfica season has been a strange one, this is not the same team from last season who was dominant, this team has a lot of up and downs performances but lately Benfica has gotten better overall, more solid on defense and the attack is creating more chances, the only issue is still the same, sometimes they just miss too many chances but besides that we are seen some good signs and they will fight for the league title with Sporting for sure till the end this season.

I like Benfica here, the style that Arouca plays kinda match up really well with Benfica strenght this season, if Arouca would be a weaker team who tries to defend with all their squad it could give Benfica some problems if they didn't score in the 1st half but this Arouca team doesn't play like that even in the games against the big teams of Portugal and I doubt they will do it here and of course, because they play like that their chances to beat Benfica is a possibility too if things go well and they score first but this style of play will give Benfica attack many space to play their football and create their scoring chances, it's just a matter for them taking care of those chances and I believe they will do it and beat Arouca here.

Sporting Braga vs Vitoria Guimaraes

Even Braga is sitting in 4th place I believe that right now they are the best team in Portugal playing football and the only reason why they aren't in 1st place is because they had a bad start to the season with all thos European Competition games what costed them some important points, especially in their home games but lately Braga has been balling, especially at home who they were on a 4 game win streak and beating everyone easily at home before losing to Benfica by 0:1 but if you saw the game you know that the result was a lucky one for Benfica, Braga was the better team and could even won that game in the 2nd half if they would have take advantage of their chances and also Benfica Goalkeeper Trubin made some huge saves in that game, that result was very unlucky but that's part of football.

For this game Braga has the whole squad ready to play.

Guimaraes is in 5th place and is trying to compete with Braga for the 4th best team in Portugal but in my opinion they are far away from their rival Braga in terms of quality, Braga is the much stronger team and better than a 5th place for Guimaraes is pratically impossible in my opinion. Guimaraes is a very different team on the road, at home they play with great confidence with the support of their fans like we saw against Sporting, they beat the leader at home but on the road they change their style and play a much more defensive game what doesn't benefit them in my opinion and now they will visit their rival Braga on the road, a stadium that hasn't been good for them, in the last 7 road trips to Braga they got 1 draw and lost 6 of those 7 games.

For this game Guimaraes is without Arcanjo.

This game will be intense, this is a big rivalry game but usually Braga dominates this type of games, especially at home like the results suggest but I also think that this Braga team is a bad match-up for Guimaraes and Guimaraes will come to Braga playing a very defensive game and trying to hurt Braga in the counter-attack but Braga attack this season has been on-fire and is the best attack in the league and they have players in the attack who can make the difference is so many occasion and different scenarios, like long shots, using their speed getting behind defenders quickly and it will be a tough task for Guimaraes to get something positive here, it's a rival game and everything is possible but overall I like Braga's chances here to win the game and catch Porto in the 3rd place race.
