It seems that there existed a deal between Claudio Lotito and Simone Inzaghi. When he left Lazio, he might have promised to let Lazio win at home during his two-year contract at Inter. This isn’t something you can read in the newspapers, but it’s quite common in football, especially in a country like Italy.

But Simone Inzaghi’s first contract expired last June. He is not under a renewed contract. It mean the current contract will have no background linked to Lazio. So this time Inter might go to Olimpico directly for a win.

I don’t see Lazio have the capacity of stopping Inter. Inter are now prioritizing Serie A and absolutely want to win the title.
