In my opinion Atletico have all required tools to make at least one point in today’s match up.

Both teams with same number of points on their accounts, but Barcelona played one match more. Without any shadow of doubt Atletico plays better football in current campaign in comparison to Barcelona – they scored more goals and conceded less.

Atletico coming for this game with the strongest possible line up and we will see on the pitch all their key players like Griezmann, Morata, Koke, Niguez or Dias Lino. On the other hand Barcelona is without first goalkeeper Ter Stegen, key central midfielder Gavi and their best player in last matches (Cancel) is very doubtful for this game. That should have very bad impact on hosts performance.

Atletico is rock solid at both ends of the pitch. In current season they played 18 matches in all competitions (only two losses). In 9 of 18 matches they scored more than 2 goals. I believe they should be able to make a lot of damages for Barcelona defensive formation.

They won 2:1 against poor Alaves at home, but Alaves had higher expected goals scored number than Barcelona in that game. They also won against Porto in Champions League, but that was very close match.

Atletico striker Griezmann is in red hot form, he scored 8 goals in last 10 matches in all competitions. Barcelona top striker (best scorer in La Liga last year) is without form – he scored in only one La Liga game from last 9. Big difference between both players, no doubt about that.

Atletico have bigger chances than bookies wants to suggest for us in their odds.
