Nevertheless, despite these results, AZ still has a chance to reach the second place and the 1/16 finals, but for that, in addition to winning their two remaining matches, it is necessary for them to match the results of the other matches, that is, for Aston Villa to overcome Legia, in order for AZ to reach the next stage of the competition with a triumph against the Polish representative in the last round. After somewhat worse results in the last games, AZ played phenomenally in the last round and defeated Volendam 3-0, and the result could easily have been much higher. It should be said that they did not have an easy schedule in the last games, because they played twice against Aston Villa and once against Feyenoord.

Zrinjski achieved historic success this season, becoming the first club from Bosnia and Herzegovina to qualify for the group stage of a UEFA competition. After the first round and the phenomenal victory over today's rival, AZ Alkmaar, many fans of this club hoped that Zrinjski could advance to the next stage as well. The home team played phenomenally in England as well, against Aston Villa, and it's a real shame that they were defeated 1:0, with a goal in the 94th minute of the match.
