Cádiz is going through one of LL’s longest active winless streaks, which was extended to nine games at the weekend. Their manager, Sergio González, failed to personally defeat Real Madrid for a 13th consecutive time. His job security is under increasing strain as a result of the side plummeting perilously close to the relegation zone.

Cádiz has played just one match this season against a side joining them in the bottom quarter of the table, a 1-1 draw at home to last-placed Almería. If they cannot take more than a couple of points home from fellow strugglers Mallorca and Celta Vigo in the coming days, it’ll be tough to see how they can survive the season under Sergio’s stewardship.
