The final call for Saturday is in Russia again, where unmotivated Khimki comes to entertain Dinamo Moscow.

Hosts are still in the Champions League race and stakes could not be any higher for the club. With CSKA and Spartak coming face to face on Sunday, this is the perfect opportunity for Dinamo to make a strong bid for a place in Europe’s elite competition. Nobody could’ve thought it would be possible before the start of the season, but Dinamo have improved immensely under German manager Schwarz, who had arrived in winter.

The team has been a bit inconsistent due to its’ extremely young squad - regular striker Tyukavin (18), attacking midfielder Zakharyan (17), Szymanski (21), Lesovoy (23), central defender Yevgenyev (22), striker Grulev (22); but on the other hand the passion from all these kids has helped Dinamo earn a number of important points.

Now the “pioneer squad” is aware what’s at cost and should be particularly fired up for the occasion.

Khimki have finished their season. They are not going to Europe and can now kick their feet up and think about the next campaign. There will be changes in their squad for sure as a number of important regulars are on the radars of bigger clubs. For that reason the manager’s been rotating those players, who he is not expecting to see around anymore come next season.

Khimki succumbed to a 1-3 defeat in Grozny in the previous round, showcasing a pretty relaxed attitude on the pitch.

I expect more of the same on Saturday, which should be a comforting setup for 200% motivated Dinamo.
