Greece’s score difference was 16:10. This is not very good as there were Liechtenstein whose score difference was 0:63! Greece lost the last three games in this group.

Portugal have been very strong in this group so far - winning all three games and top the standings. Indeed, they have scored 13 goals and have conceded just one goal. In their last match they crushed Belarus 6-1 at home after having close to 80% ball possession. They allowed the visitors just one shot on goal and 21 dangerous attacks. Portugal recorded a stunning 147 dangerous attacks themselves. Belarus, of course, are not a good team though. In Belarus Portugal won 5-0 on the 12th of September. The bookies expected the match to be much more balanced. Before this they easily beat Andorra 3-0 not allowing the visitors any shots on goal. They could easily have won 5-0 or 6-0! Greece, on the other hand, had to work much harder and beat this small country only 1-0 in September. They did deserve the three points but were not impressive at all. In March they failed to beat Belarus at home! It was a 1-1 draw after a lame offensive performance from the Greeks. Their offense lacked speed, creativity and structure. In the EURO U21 this summer Portugal played well and finished better than Netherlands and Belgium in Group A. In the Playoffs they faced England, a very strong team, and lost 0-1 as very clear underdogs according to the bookies. Portugal were, rather surprisingly, the better team on the pitch with 53% ball possession. They recorded more scoring chances (18-6), shots on goal, shots off target, corner kicks, total passes, completed passes, attacks and especially dangerous attacks – 72-26! Portugal are massive favourites here and have a 72% chance of winning by a margin of at least the goals.
