In my opinion Juventus have really good chances to make 3 points in today’s match up.

In overall Juventus have superb record against Lazio as they won 25 of last 36 matches against them in all competitions. Juventus won 4 of last 5 home matches against Lazio. In previous season: 3-0 in Serie A and 1-0 in Coppa Italia. Hosts with big mental advantage, no doubt about that.

Juventus started great in Serie A, 7 points in 3 matches – it’s their best start of new campaign in last 5 years. They failed to win at home against Bologna (1:1), but that was a bit unlucky as they had higher expected goals scored number than opponents. So far Juventus looked really good solid and consistent at both ends of the pitch. Dangerous in attack: duo Chiesa & Vlahovic is really hard to stop. Only two teams from Milano scored more goals in Serie A so far. Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny looked superb in opening matches, 2 clean sheets already and he is best Juve player according to the ratings.

Lazio had some problems with finishing product, only 3 teams in whole team recorded less shots on target per game than Lazio (!!!). In addition to that, their top scorer and team captain Ciro Immobile picked up a minor knock last week in Italy match against Northern Macedonia. Lazio failed to keep clean sheet in all 3 opening matches and for me is really hard to imagine clean sheet for them today. Lazio best defender in current season Hysaj (according to the ratings) played two full matches in last 9 days for Albania and for sure he is not fresh. That should have bad impact on his performance in this game.

Lazio lost two of three matches. They won big game against Napoli, but that wasn’t deserved result at all. Napoli had 22 shots (1.29 expected goals scored with 61% ball possession. Lazio had only 6 shots (0.64).

Juventus looks more solid, had mental advantage and stronger squad.
